Match Preview: Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig
Bayern Munich have been dealt a huge blow with Jamal Musiala sidelined for months due to a serious ankle injury. In his absence, new signing Michael Olise is expected to take up the number 10 role. Luis Díaz and Serge Gnabry are also in line to feature out wide, while Harry Kane will look to get off the mark as Bayern’s spearhead in attack.
At the back, summer arrival Jonathan Tah has quickly struck up an understanding with Dayot Upamecano, and the pair should anchor the defence, protected by Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka in midfield.
RB Leipzig, meanwhile, must adjust after losing Benjamin Šeško to Manchester United earlier this month. Lois Openda is now the leading option to start up front, with Xavi Simons potentially moving into a more advanced midfield role. He is expected to be supported by Nicolas Seiwald and Xaver Schlager, who provide Leipzig with stability and energy in central areas.
Defensively, Castello Lukeba and captain Willi Orbán remain trusted regulars at the heart of the backline, and both will almost certainly be named in the starting XI.
