Team News

Arsenal did not come through Tuesday’s win unscathed, as Gabriel Magalhães was forced off with a thigh injury and is now a doubt for Sunday’s clash. Should the Brazilian miss out, Cristhian Mosquera is expected to return to the backline.

Piero Hincapié remains a more natural option on the left side of defence, but the Ecuadorian has featured for just one minute all season, making a start highly unlikely.

Kai Havertz, Martin Ødegaard, and Noni Madueke are all set to remain sidelined until after the international break, while Gabriel Jesus – who tormented Palace last season – continues his recovery from an ACL injury and is not expected back until late 2025 or early 2026.

After a dominant midweek display, Mikel Arteta should keep faith with 10 of the 11 starters from the Atletico thrashing, with Riccardo Calafiori likely to replace Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back.

As for Crystal Palace, Oliver Glasner’s side remain without Caleb Kporha (back), Cheick Doucouré (knee), and Chadi Riad (knee).

Centre-back Canvot endured a nightmare outing on Thursday, gifting AEK Larnaca the winner with a misplaced backpass before being substituted on the hour mark. Chris Richards is expected to reclaim his spot in the heart of defence.

Former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah featured from the bench in that game but is unlikely to displace Jean-Philippe Mateta, who has scored eight of his last nine Premier League goals in London.
