Arsenal Team News
Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard is facing a fresh spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury in the draw with West Ham. The Norwegian playmaker — who recently became the first player in Premier League history to be substituted in the first half of three consecutive starts — is now expected to be out for around a month.
Ødegaard joins fellow absentees Kai Havertz (knee), Gabriel Jesus (knee) and Noni Madueke (knee) in the Emirates treatment room. However, there is some relief for Mikel Arteta, as both Ben White and Martín Zubimendi are available after missing Thursday’s training session as a precaution.
Meanwhile, Piero Hincapié also returned to full training on October 16 following a groin issue and could make his long-awaited Premier League debut, though the Ecuadorian is likely to start on the bench.
Fulham Team News
Fulham manager Marco Silva is dealing with injury concerns of his own. Midfielder Saša Lukić suffered a groin injury just 14 minutes into the recent clash with Bournemouth, and Serbia head coach Dragan Stojković has since revealed that he will be sidelined for four to six weeks.
To compound Fulham’s woes, Samuel Chukwueze picked up an injury during Nigeria’s 4-0 win over Benin, while there remain doubts over Raúl Jiménez (hip) and Kenny Tete (knee) ahead of the derby at the Emirates.
Antonee Robinson (knee) and Rodrigo Muniz (thigh) have been ruled out entirely, but the Cottagers can call upon several familiar faces to Arsenal fans — Emile Smith Rowe, Alex Iwobi, and Bernd Leno are all fit and ready to face their former club.
