Brazil’s comfortable win over Senegal on Saturday came with one setback, as Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães limped off with a suspected groin injury. The centre-back is unlikely to feature in the upcoming match, prompting Eder Militão to step in alongside Marquinhos at the heart of the defence. Wesley França is expected to take up the right-back role, though Fabricio Bruno remains an alternative for Carlo Ancelotti across the back line.
Ancelotti was also quick to praise Chelsea prodigy Estevão, who continued his excellent form by scoring again, taking his tally to four goals in 10 appearances for Brazil — including three in his last three outings. The 18-year-old is set to keep his place in the Italian manager’s fluid 4-2-2-2 system, operating primarily from the right while Rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior rotate fluidly in the other attacking positions.
With rotation expected, João Pedro could start ahead of Matheus Cunha, and Richarlison is also pushing for minutes. In midfield, Fabinho and Lucas Paquetá are competing for starting roles as Ancelotti looks to distribute game time across the squad.
On the opposite side, Tunisia head coach Montasser Trabelsi has used completely different starting XIs in his last two matches, but he is expected to name a stronger lineup for this fixture given the level of opposition. First-choice goalkeeper Aymen Dahmen should return between the posts, while Ali Abdi is set to continue at left-back after scoring in the previous outing.
At centre-back, in-form defender Montassar Talbi, who also found the net last time out, is likely to partner either Yassine Meriah or Dylan Bronn. Further forward, Firas Chaouat may be reinstated as the central striker, potentially pushing Hazem Mastouri to the bench.
