Prediction and Preview

 PSG  2 - 0 Tottenham

Paris Saint-Germain possible starting lineup:

Chevalier; Zaire-Emery, Zabarnyi, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Vitinha, Neves; Lee, Barcola, Kvaratskhelia

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup:

Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Palhinha, Sarr; Kudus, Simons, Richarlison; Kolo Muani

PSG continue to feel the effects of Diaz’s red-card challenge on Achraf Hakimi, as the Moroccan right-back has remained sidelined ever since. The 2025 African Footballer of the Year is still recovering from an ankle injury and is not expected to return for a few more weeks.

Les Parisiens will also be without two key attacking figures. Désiré Doué is nursing a hamstring problem, while Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé is unavailable due to a calf issue. Even so, the French champions can turn to Bradley Barcola and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, both of whom are fully fit and eager for starting roles after being restricted to substitute appearances on Saturday.

Luis Enrique is likely to refresh his lineup, with midfield orchestrator Fabián Ruiz and defensive pillar Willian Pacho expected to be recalled. In Hakimi’s absence, Warren Zaïre-Emery may once again be deployed as an auxiliary right-back, offering ball progression and defensive coverage from a deeper position.

On the opposite side, Tottenham’s attacking unit has also been depleted. Brennan Johnson is unavailable due to suspension after receiving a red card in the 4–0 win over Copenhagen, becoming the first British player to score and be sent off in the same Champions League match. He joins a lengthy list of absentees that includes James Maddison and Radu Drăgușin (both ACL), Kota Takai (thigh), Dejan Kulusevski (knee), Dominic Solanke (ankle), Yves Bissouma (ankle), and Mathys Tel, who is ineligible.

There is a glimmer of optimism for the visitors, as veteran defender Ben Davies may return from a thigh injury. Manager Frank previously sacrificed former PSG academy talent Xavi Simons to introduce defender Kevin Danso, but that experiment failed to yield results. As a consequence, the Tottenham boss is expected to return to a more familiar system, entrusting Simons with playmaking responsibilities once again.
