England vs Czech Republic Match Preview
England will be looking to respond quickly when they face the Czech Republic in their next UEFA Nations League fixture after suffering a dramatic defeat to Spain.
Thomas Tuchel's side were beaten 3-2 at Wembley despite taking the lead during an entertaining contest. Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane found the net for England, but Spain produced a strong comeback through Lamine Yamal, Alex Baena and Mikel Oyarzabal.
The defeat highlighted some of England's defensive problems. The Three Lions have now conceded in six consecutive matches, with 13 goals going against them during that run. After losing two of their last three games, England will be eager to return to winning ways and improve their position in the Nations League group.
The Czech Republic also began their campaign with a defeat. Their first match under new coach Denia ended in a 2-1 home loss to Croatia, despite Adam Karabec scoring for the hosts.
Croatia took control of the contest through goals from veteran midfielder Luka Modric and Marco Pasalic. The visitors also created the greater number of opportunities, registering 16 shots compared with the Czech Republic's five.
The result leaves the Czech Republic under pressure early in the competition. After moving between the top two Nations League divisions in recent campaigns, they will be determined to avoid another immediate return to League B.
England and the Czech Republic have experienced some memorable meetings in recent years. The Czech side recorded a surprise 2-1 victory over England in Prague in 2019, while England responded with a 1-0 win at Euro 2020 thanks to a goal from Raheem Sterling.

England have several selection decisions to make ahead of the match. Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha was left out of the matchday squad against Spain because Tuchel had to reduce his 24-man group to 23 players.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was an unused substitute at Wembley, but the Real Madrid defender could be brought into the starting lineup in Prague. Jarell Quansah is one player who could make way.
There were no major new injury concerns following the Spain match. Lewis Hall was left out of the starting lineup after experiencing a minor issue during training, but the Newcastle United defender could still be available.
The Czech Republic also have a number of fitness and selection concerns. Several players withdrew before the opening Nations League fixture, including David Zima, David Jurasek, Matej Rynes, Tomas Vlcek, Lukas Provod, Denis Visinsky and Tomas Chory.
Ladislav Krejci missed the Croatia match with a calf problem, while Ondrej Lingr was not included in the matchday squad.
Adam Karabec, who scored the Czech Republic's goal against Croatia, was substituted during the second half after suffering an unspecified injury. His availability for the England match will therefore need to be assessed.
Pavel Sulc is expected to operate behind striker Adam Hlozek and could provide creativity in the final third.
What to Expect
England will be keen to dominate possession and create more consistent attacking pressure after their defeat to Spain. Tuchel may also look to strengthen his defence and introduce fresh players into the lineup.
The Czech Republic will hope to make home advantage count and produce a more disciplined defensive display than they managed against Croatia.
